Who we are
This website is operated by Wingman Automation, a sole proprietorship registered in Nova Scotia, Canada. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). For any privacy question or request, write to info@wingmanautomation.com.
What we collect
If you send us the contact form, we receive what you enter: your name, work email, company, role, sector, number of weighers, and anything you write in the message field. If you used the ROI calculator before contacting us, the figures you entered are attached to your request so we have context before we reply. The form service also includes the IP address your request was sent from, which helps us spot spam. If you email us directly, we receive your email.
We collect nothing else. This site uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and we do not build a profile of you. The only thing the site stores is your light or dark display choice, which stays in your own browser.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to you and to arrange a line assessment. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Who handles it for us
Three service providers are involved, each only for its part:
- Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes standard request information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages and protect the site.
- Web3Forms delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox. It keeps a copy of each submission for 30 days and then deletes it. Its servers run on Amazon Web Services.
- Microsoft 365 holds our email, which is where your request arrives and where we keep our correspondence with you.
These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep your request and our correspondence for as long as we are in conversation with you, and for up to two years after our last contact. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to info@wingmanautomation.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
The product is a separate matter
None of the above applies to the control software. Wingman runs entirely on your isolated plant network with no internet dependency. There is no cloud service, no telemetry and no phone-home. Your production data does not leave your site, and we never receive it. Even licensing is done offline by exchanging a short code.
